A slumber did my spirit seal1;
I had no human fears:
She seemed a thing that could not feel
The touch of earthly years.
No motion has she now, no force;

傍晚我在綠樹叢中漫步,

它在樹上向我傾訴:
"是八哥把我的愛偷走,"

啊,自由是快樂(lè),相愛是歡愉!
被拋棄的愛人卻會(huì)日夜悲苦;
我能夠重振家業(yè),
即使奪走我的財(cái)產(chǎn)拆毀我的房屋;
