在日期方面，美英的表達(dá)方式是有差別的。

以日為先，月份為后，此為英國(guó)式，美國(guó)式則與此相反。如一九九六年三月二日的寫法：

在美式的寫法中，1st, 2nd, 3rd的st, nd, rd是不使用的。

由于日期書面表達(dá)不同，讀法也不一樣。

如：1987年4月20日，英式的寫法是20th April, 1987，讀成the twentieth of April, nineteen eighty-seven;美式的表達(dá)是April 20, 1987，則讀成April the twentieth, nineteen eighty-seven。

同樣，全部用數(shù)字表達(dá)日期時(shí)，英美也有差別。

如：1998年5月6日按照英國(guó)式應(yīng)寫成6/5/98，而按照美國(guó)式應(yīng)寫成5/6/98;01.08.1998是英國(guó)式的1998年8月1日，按照美國(guó)的表達(dá)方式卻是1998年1月8日，美國(guó)的1998年8月1日應(yīng)寫成08，01，1998。因此，全部使用數(shù)字來表示日期時(shí)，往往發(fā)生誤解，在商務(wù)活動(dòng)中必須謹(jǐn)慎使用。

表達(dá)百萬以上的數(shù)字概念英美的差別甚大，如one billion英語指的是"萬億""兆"，而美語則只"十億";one trillion英語相當(dāng)于million million million=1018,是百萬兆，在美語里卻相當(dāng)于英國(guó)英語的one billion，是"萬億"、"兆"。

1. 四級(jí)缺考問題

缺考大學(xué)英語四級(jí)考試不會(huì)對(duì)個(gè)人的誠(chéng)信評(píng)分產(chǎn)生任何負(fù)面影響。如果缺席了四級(jí)考試，只是沒有當(dāng)前考試的分?jǐn)?shù)，下一次依舊可以報(bào)名參加。

但是需要注意的是，如果大學(xué)沒有通過四級(jí)考試，畢業(yè)后就不能參加四級(jí)考試，只能參加社會(huì)等級(jí)考試，所以建議考生珍惜每一次參加四級(jí)考試的機(jī)會(huì)。

2. 英語四六級(jí)報(bào)名要求

(1)普通高等學(xué)校的全日制本科生、?？粕?、研究生。

(2)各全日制成人高等學(xué)校的本科、專科生。

(3)只有完成大學(xué)英語六級(jí)考試并取得大學(xué)英語四級(jí)425分或以上成績(jī)的人才可以申請(qǐng)大學(xué)英語六級(jí)考試。

(4)考生一律在學(xué)校報(bào)名參加考試。

3. 四級(jí)考場(chǎng)注意事項(xiàng)

四級(jí)考試遲到15分鐘不得進(jìn)入考場(chǎng)。

考生需要攜帶準(zhǔn)考證、學(xué)生證、身份證，方可進(jìn)入考場(chǎng)。無準(zhǔn)考證或?qū)W生證、身份證的考生不得參加考試。

考場(chǎng)只允許攜帶必要的文具，包括鉛筆、黑色鋼筆或簽字筆、橡皮和無線耳機(jī)。

禁止攜帶手表、紙巾、書籍、筆記、材料、報(bào)刊、記事本、草稿紙、各種無線通訊工具(如BP機(jī)、手機(jī))、錄影機(jī)、電子記事本等物品。一旦發(fā)現(xiàn)，將被取消考試資格。

4. 四級(jí)考試分值

英語四級(jí)總分為710分，由四部分組成，四級(jí)作文總分為106.5分，四級(jí)聽力部分總分為248.5分，四級(jí)閱讀理解總分為248.5分，四級(jí)翻譯總分為106.5分。
