近期一項(xiàng)數(shù)據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì),內(nèi)地考生的雅思口語平均分?jǐn)?shù)是5.26,是四門考試科目中分?jǐn)?shù)倒數(shù)第二低的(寫作分?jǐn)?shù)最低),與閱讀分?jǐn)?shù)相差高達(dá)0.5分(閱讀為5.76)。其實(shí)這一點(diǎn)都不令人奇怪。很多學(xué)生認(rèn)為自己平時(shí)的口語不錯(cuò),但是據(jù)很多學(xué)生反應(yīng),口語部分卻往往是很多學(xué)生實(shí)際得分與預(yù)期得分差距最大的一科。那么,究竟問題出在了哪里?以下就是學(xué)習(xí)啦總結(jié)的學(xué)生們所應(yīng)該注意的三個(gè)陷阱。

俗套的回答
很多學(xué)生很喜歡在口語考試中給出一些stereotyped standard answers. 比如說,當(dāng)學(xué)生一進(jìn)門,考官說“How are you?”的時(shí)候, 而大多數(shù)考生都會(huì)習(xí)慣性的回答“Fine, thank you. And you?” “你喜歡什么運(yùn)動(dòng)?”“籃球”,這些都可能是學(xué)生們?cè)诳荚囍薪o出的答案。盡管老師們一再叮囑不要在口語考試中給出這樣的答案,但是在那種緊張的情況下,這可能是學(xué)生們腦子里所能想到的唯一的答案,也有學(xué)生們會(huì)認(rèn)為這些都是正確的答案,從小英語老師們都是這么教的。但是我們需要非常清楚地了解雅思口語考試的本質(zhì)就是人與人的交流。所以雅思口語考試的評(píng)分并不是完全的100%客觀依照考生的英語水平來決定的。在評(píng)分過程中,整個(gè)交流過程肯定會(huì)將考生的交流技巧納入考慮范圍內(nèi)。因此,我們可以想象,考官一個(gè)下午可能要面對(duì)二三十個(gè)學(xué)生,如果每個(gè)學(xué)生都給出同樣的答案,那么考官肯定會(huì)很容易精神疲勞。所以,除了英文口語表達(dá)能力外,學(xué)生們還應(yīng)該注重自己答案的originality, 要想方設(shè)法讓考官對(duì)自己的答案感興趣才是最重要的。
注意回答問題的流利度
流利度一直以來是很多考生所存在的問題,而要解決這個(gè)問題,是需要時(shí)間的。很多學(xué)生看了一些美劇,在口語考試中經(jīng)常會(huì)有意識(shí)的用到一些外國人講話中的語句用來拖延時(shí)間以便讓自己有更多的時(shí)間去整理思緒,不至于出現(xiàn)尷尬的“卡殼”情況,比如說“well, you know”等等。這樣的語句偶爾使用是可以的,但是如果學(xué)生濫用的話,那必會(huì)適得其反。大多數(shù)學(xué)生認(rèn)為說 “well”, 會(huì)顯得非常的地道,因?yàn)橥鈬藢?duì)話中經(jīng)常說,但其實(shí)很多中國考生并不能正確的理解well的用法。當(dāng)說話的人在想下句話該說什么的時(shí)候,會(huì)用到well,就好比中文當(dāng)中的“那個(gè),那個(gè)...”一樣?;蛘遷ell 在某些語境下表示既然這樣的話,如何如何… 比如說“It’s going to rain. What am I supposed to do with my party tonight?” “Well, in that case, we will probably hold it indoors.” 而很多學(xué)生對(duì)“you know”的用法更是會(huì)讓考官百思不得其解。比如說 “What’s your major?” “You know, international politics”. 如果考生之前沒有跟考官提及過,考官又如何能夠知道?建議考生應(yīng)該慎用這些詞組。
盡量用真實(shí)例子去描述
在準(zhǔn)備第二部分的時(shí)候,很多學(xué)生會(huì)花很多的時(shí)間去想如何去敘述這個(gè)故事。其實(shí),這樣做的話,既浪費(fèi)時(shí)間,講出的故事又不會(huì)特別吸引到考官的注意力。推薦給考生的方法是去編一些故事,而不要去說實(shí)話。因?yàn)橥ǔN覀兩磉吅苌侔l(fā)生非常值得回憶,值得講述的故事或人。所以,要在短短的一分鐘內(nèi)想到這樣的故事是種非常大的挑戰(zhàn),更不用說考生們?cè)偃ビ糜⑽谋磉_(dá)出來。所以考生更應(yīng)該在考試之前先準(zhǔn)備好一些可以套用的故事,然后再將考官的問題套用在這個(gè)題目上。即使在第一部分,考生們也可以做出一些調(diào)整,比如說當(dāng)問到考生在哪里讀書時(shí),考生可以自豪地說我是來自某某大學(xué),這所大學(xué)是全省乃至全國最好的大學(xué)之一。在整個(gè)回答過程中,學(xué)生們應(yīng)該樹立自己的積極形象,這樣一來,考官就會(huì)自然而然地肅然起敬,而對(duì)考生的尊敬就很有可能轉(zhuǎn)換成為分?jǐn)?shù)的提高。
