　　《海底兩萬里》是凡爾納的科幻小說三部曲之二。(第一部是《格蘭特船長的女兒》，第二布是《神秘島》。)內(nèi)容主要講諾第留斯號潛艇的故事。 1866 年，有人以為海上見到了一條獨(dú)角鯨，法國生物學(xué)家阿龍納斯最后發(fā)現(xiàn)那是一艘叫諾第留斯號的潛艇，并且?guī)е腿丝等麪柡鸵粋€捕鯨手，跟隨尼摩船長乘坐這艘潛艇在海底作了兩萬里的環(huán)球旅行。尼摩是個不明國籍的神秘人物，他在荒島上秘密建造的這艘潛艇不僅異常堅固，而且結(jié)構(gòu)巧妙，能夠利用海洋來提供能源。阿龍納斯通過一系列奇怪的事情，終于了解到神秘的尼摩船長仍與大陸保持著密切聯(lián)系，用海底沉船里的千百萬金銀來支援陸地上人們的正義斗爭。
