(7)使……處于某種狀態(tài)(情況)
在這種情況下，keep常跟復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)(keep+賓語(yǔ)+補(bǔ)語(yǔ))。用作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)常見的詞有現(xiàn)在分詞、過(guò)去分詞、形容詞、副詞以及介詞短語(yǔ)。
e.g. He kept me waiting for half an hour.
他讓我等了半個(gè)小時(shí)。
Keep your mouth shut and your eyes open.
少說(shuō)話，多觀察。
The doctor kept me in for a week.
