見了treat，別以為它只有"對待"的意思，它還可以表示"款待、招待"。當(dāng)然treat還有"名詞"的身份，表示"請客、做東"，所以如果你想表示"我做東，我請客"，就拍拍胸脯說：It's my treat. 或是I want to treat you.
3. Let me foot the bill.
這里的foot真是和"英尺"、"腳"沒有任何關(guān)系了，在老外的口頭語中，foot可以做動詞，表示"支付帳單或費用"，就相當(dāng)于Let me pay the bill.
勸君“上當(dāng)”一回
1. Mary was done brown!
瑪麗上當(dāng)了!
2. He was dumped on.
他上當(dāng)了。
3. You have been spoofed.
你上當(dāng)了。
4. You've really been taken.
你真的上當(dāng)了。
5. You have fallen into the trap.
你們上當(dāng)了。
6. We were all fooled by him.
我們都上了他的當(dāng)。
7. We got screwed when we bought this house.
我們買這所房子時上當(dāng)了。
8. We were tricked into buying a poor car.
我們受騙上當(dāng)買了一輛破汽車。
9. I've been diddled! Half of these tomatoes are bad!
我上當(dāng)了! 這些番茄有一半是壞的。
