　　摘要：近幾年，耳邊時(shí)常會(huì)聽(tīng)到消息說(shuō)，某個(gè)朋友因?yàn)閻?ài)人被派去外地或外國(guó)工作而放棄北京的一切跟隨前往。在這樣的情形中，這位跟隨愛(ài)人前往另一個(gè)陌生城市的朋友就叫做trailing spouse。

　　The term trailing spouse is used to describe a person who follows his or her life partner to another city because of a newly-found job or work assignment. The term is often associated with people involved in anexpatriate assignment but is also used on domestic assignments.
