　　1. out of control失去控制

　　e.g. Measures must be taken to have the overheated economy cooled down. Otherwise, it would be out of control.

　　如果再不采取果斷措施給過(guò)熱的經(jīng)濟(jì)降溫，經(jīng)濟(jì)局面會(huì)失控。

　　2. to snap斷裂，垮掉

　　e.g. The twigs20 snapped under the snow.雪把樹(shù)枝壓斷了。

　　Our manager works too hard. I'm afraid she will snap suddenly.

　　我們經(jīng)理工作太認(rèn)真，我真擔(dān)心哪天她的身體會(huì)垮掉。

　　3. intuition 直覺(jué)

　　e.g. My intuition told me to keep this company as our supplier.

　　直覺(jué)告訴我應(yīng)當(dāng)仍然以該公司為供貨商。

　　I've got an intuition that something has gone wrong.

　　憑直覺(jué)我感到出了問(wèn)題。

　　4. to circulate 傳閱

　　e.g. The report will be circulated to all members.

　　該報(bào)告將在全體成員中傳閱。

　　5. to have a go at 躍躍欲試

　　e.g. The sales manager recently in power itched21 to have a go at the East Asian market.

　　新上任的銷售經(jīng)理躍躍欲試，要進(jìn)軍東亞市場(chǎng)。

　　6. to convince 說(shuō)服

　　e.g. It took me a few weeks to convince my boss of the importance of training.

　　我花了幾個(gè)星期才說(shuō)服老板培訓(xùn)的重要性。

　　At last I felt convinced that I was again on the wrong track.

　　我最后確信自己考慮問(wèn)題的思路又錯(cuò)了。

　　to persuade 說(shuō)服，是指勸誘(induce)他人相信或去做某事

　　e.g. he persuaded me to buy that huge 30-inch TV set.

　　他勸我買了那臺(tái)30寸的大電視。

　　&大致說(shuō)來(lái)，persuade與人的意志(will)或感情(feeling)相關(guān)，convince是與人的理智(reason)或理解力(understanding)相關(guān)。

　　7. to authorise授權(quán)

　　e.g. She has been authorized22 to sign the contract.

　　她被授權(quán)簽訂合同。

　　8. to reconcile 使……相吻合，核對(duì)，調(diào)和

　　e.g. He failed to reconcile statement with the fact.

　　他難以作出符合事實(shí)的陳述。

　　to reconcile a checkbook with a bank statement

　　按銀行結(jié)帳單核對(duì)支票薄。

　　I can't reconcile the two extreme views.

　　我無(wú)法調(diào)和這兩種極端的觀點(diǎn)。

　　9. to streamline 精簡(jiǎn)，使……更有效率

　　e.g. The leadership had streamlined the plant organization. As a result, the output doubled and the overheads fell drastically as well.

　　由于領(lǐng)導(dǎo)精簡(jiǎn)了工廠機(jī)構(gòu)，不僅產(chǎn)量翻了一番，而且大大縮減了企業(yè)經(jīng)營(yíng)費(fèi)用。

　　10. to invoice 給……開(kāi)發(fā)票

　　e.g. The seller may invoice the goods at per ton.

　　賣方可以每噸70美元開(kāi)具該貨的發(fā)票。

　　Invoice us after the shipment.

　　請(qǐng)?jiān)谘b船后給我公司開(kāi)具發(fā)票。

　　名詞——發(fā)票

　　e.g. Enclosed is our invoice in triplicate for Art. No.1204.

　　隨函附上1204號(hào)貨物的發(fā)票一式三份。

　　11. in everybody's interest 符合大家的利益

　　12. fine by me 我覺(jué)得沒(méi)問(wèn)題

　　e.g. Is the newly bought cream OK with you?

　　新買的雪花膏用著行嗎?

　　Yes, fine by me. 我覺(jué)得還不錯(cuò)。
