each的用法
一、each作“各自的”，“每個的”解，作形容詞用：
1.There are many trees on each side of the river.河流兩岸許多樹。
2.Each element has some special properties.每種元素都有些特殊性質(zhì)。
二、作“各自”、“每個”講，作代詞用：
1.Each has his advantages.各人都有其優(yōu)點(diǎn)。
2.He gave each of us a tool.他給我們每人一件工具。
三、作“各自地”講，作副詞用：
1.Give them two books each.(=Give each of them two books.)給他們每個人兩本書。
2.The students have ten books each.(=Each of the students has ten books.)這些學(xué)生每人有十本書。
3.Different kinds of waves have each the same three characteristics: amplitude,
frequency and length.不同的波(各)都有三個相同的特性：幅度、頻率和波長。(each在此修飾主語waves)
四、注意each作同位語的用法:
1.They each put forward a proposal.他們每人提出一條建議。(each此處緊挨代詞they，是they的同位語)
2.The workers are each of them hard-working.這些工人個個勤奮勞動。(each of them整個形式名詞做the workers的同位語)
注：同位語——一個名詞(或其它形式)對另一個名詞或代詞進(jìn)行修飾，限定或說明，這個名詞(或其它形式)就是同位語。同位語與被它限定的詞的格要一致，并常常緊挨在一起。
五、each other作“互相”、“彼此”解：
1.We help each other.我們互相幫助。
2.They speak English to each other.他們彼此講英語。
3.We often compare notes with each other on our work and study.我們經(jīng)常就工作和學(xué)習(xí)方面互相交換意見。
all, every 與 each 的用法區(qū)別
1. 三者都可用來概括全體，但強(qiáng)調(diào)重點(diǎn)不同：all(全部)是整體性地考慮總體(具有概括性)，every (每個)是考慮總體中的所有成員(與 all 很接近)，each (每個)是逐個逐個地考慮總體(具有個別性)。比較：
All men die. 所有的人都是要死的。
Every man dies. 每一個人都要死的。
Each man must die alone. 人都必然會一個個地死去。
2. all 和 each 既可作形容詞(其后接名詞)，也可用作代詞( 單獨(dú)使用或后接 of 短語);而 every 卻只能用作形容詞(其后接名詞)，不能用作代詞(即不能單獨(dú)使用或后接 of 短語)。如：
正：all books / Each is good. 所有的書 / 每個都很好。
誤：every of the books / Every is good.
3. each 和 every 之后通常接單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，用作主語時，其謂語動詞用單數(shù)。如：
Each (man) does his own work. 各人做自己的工作。
Every student in the school passed the swimming test. 這個學(xué)校的每個學(xué)生都通過了游泳測試。
若后接兩個用 and 連接的名詞，其謂語依然用單數(shù)。如：
Every [Each] man and woman knows it. 每個男人和女人都知道此事。
但是，each 用于復(fù)數(shù)主語后作同位語，后面的謂語用復(fù)數(shù)。如：
The students each have a dictionary. 學(xué)生每人有一本字典
4.each 指兩者或兩者以上的“每個”，every 指三者或三者以上“每個”，因此指兩者時只能用 each。如：
There are trees on each side of the road. 路兩邊都有樹。
5. every 可受 almost, nearly 等副詞的修飾，但 each 卻不能。如：
差不多每個學(xué)生都讀過這本書。
正：Almost every student has read the book.
誤：Almost each student has read the book.
