give的用法
give是常用動(dòng)詞,詞義豐富,用法復(fù)雜,構(gòu)詞能力強(qiáng); 其基本的詞義是“給”。give作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)可接名詞或代詞作賓語(yǔ),也可接雙賓語(yǔ),其間接賓語(yǔ)有時(shí)可轉(zhuǎn)換為介詞to的賓語(yǔ),還可接動(dòng)詞不定式或以“as+ n. ”充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ)。
give接雙賓語(yǔ)時(shí),間接賓語(yǔ)是人,雙賓語(yǔ)的句型可以轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)楦鷗o短語(yǔ)的句型,但當(dāng)間接賓語(yǔ)是物時(shí),則間接賓語(yǔ)在前,直接賓語(yǔ)在后的位置是固定的,不可以轉(zhuǎn)換。give接雙賓語(yǔ)時(shí)的被動(dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)可把間接賓語(yǔ)變?yōu)橹髡Z(yǔ); 也可把直接賓語(yǔ)變?yōu)橹髡Z(yǔ)。但人們通常對(duì)人(或動(dòng)物)比對(duì)物更感興趣,所以用人作主語(yǔ)比較多。
give的過(guò)去分詞常用作定語(yǔ),多前置,構(gòu)成過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)時(shí)則一般后置。過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)作狀語(yǔ)時(shí)表示完成或被動(dòng)的意義,作“假定; 容許; 如果有…”解。
give的現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)可表示按計(jì)劃〔安排、打算〕將要發(fā)生的動(dòng)作,這時(shí)句中一般有表示將來(lái)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)或特定的上下文。
習(xí)語(yǔ)give it me主要用在英國(guó), give it to me則多用在美國(guó),是正式用法。
