the tide rises,the tide falls
潮起，潮落
the tides rises,the tide falls,
the twilight darkens, the curlew calls;
along the sea-sands damp and brown
the traveller hastens toward the town,
and the tide rises, the tide falls.
暮色漸濃,鳥鳴陣陣;
潮濕、灰褐的沙灘上，
是旅人趕往城鎮(zhèn)匆忙的身影。
潮起，潮落。
darkness setttles on roofs and walls,
but the sea, the sea in the darkness calls;
the little waves,with their soft, white hands,
and the tide rises,the tide falls.
黑暗籠上了屋頂和墻垣，
而大海，卻在黑暗中咆哮;
微微的波浪，用它們柔軟而潔白的手，
把沙灘上的足印一一抹掉。

fair is my love, when her hair golden hairs
我的愛人如此唯美，驀然回首
with the loose wind ye waving chance to mark;
她散開的金發(fā)在風中飛舞;
fair when the rose in red cheeks appears,
我的愛人如此唯美，當她紅潤的臉頰玫瑰紅縈繞，
or in her eyes the fire of love does spark.
或是當她雙目中閃過愛的火花;
fair when her breast like a rich laden bark,
我的愛人如此唯美，當她挺起胸乳
with precious merchandise she forth doth lay,
像載滿奇珍異寶的航船;
fair when that cloud of pride, which oft doth dark
我的愛人如此唯美，當她用微笑驅散開
her goodly light with smiles she dries away.
那遮掩她柔媚光輝的傲世云團。
but fairest she, when so she doth display
而她最絢美的時候是當她輕輕叩響
the gate with pearls and rubies richly dight
裝飾滿紅寶石與白珍珠的大門
through which her words so wise do make their way
吐出無盡的華麗之辭，
to bear the message of her gentle sprite
滲透著優(yōu)雅溫柔、透著一絲調皮的情意
the rest be works of nature’s wonderment
剩下的盡是大自然的鬼斧神工，
but this the work of heart’s astonishment
而這卻是心中電擊般的震撼。
