My Spring Festival 我的春節(jié)英語日記
To tell you the truth, I don't like the Spring Festival at all. When I was young I liked it very much,because I could had something tasty to eat during the Spring Festival,and I could enjoy very wonderful TV programmes,too. I also could had much free time during which I could did something I liked to do. I don't like it now, there are many reasons.
Firstly, I can't have a good time during the Festival. Every New Year's Eve something unpleasant often happens. Once I quarreled with my second brother.
Secondly, I can't relax myself during the Festival. I have to do many things, watch so many TV programmes, meet so many people,all these things make me very tired.
Thirdly, spending one Spring Festival means that I become one year older. I don't like to be old. I want to live longer and be young all the time.

The program format, content and the performers are the focus of attention. Every year, the whole country is curious about what kind of party can we enjoy. As time goes by, the stage becomes more and more wonderful with the use of high-tech. But, the Spring Festival Party also brings great conflicts between different and some people argue that it should be cancelled because there is nothing to expect and it costs a lot. Chinese Lunar New Year,or Spring Festival falls on January 1st according to the lunar calendar,usually around the late January or early February.As the start of spring as well as a new year,it is the most important celebration of the year.
Each family get reunited during the New Year.On the Eve,there is a big dinner for the family when each member return to get together.
The biggest New Year's party is held on CCTV.Hundreds of people gather there,meanwhile millions of others all over the country were sitting in front of the screen to watch excellent performances for more than four hours continuously.
The bell strike twelve at midnight to welcome the coming of the New Year or Spring.People start to set off firecraks and say "Happy New Year" to each other.
