  雅思大作文范文:移居外國(guó)的人應(yīng)不應(yīng)該接受當(dāng)?shù)氐?a href='http://regraff.com/zixun/wenhua/' target='_blank'>文化

Nowadays, more and more people would like tomove to other countries and settle down for betternatural environment, more educationalopportunities, etc. Whether these new settlersshould accept new countries’ values and life styleshas become a public focus. Before presenting myown opinion, I think it is essential to analyze bothsides of the issue.

People in favor of acceptance to new values claim that once you live in a newenvironment, you have to adapt yourself to the new community. If not, you would feelpsychologically isolated. Moreover, getting yourself in the new environment, you candevelop a better career, for your employer will consider you to be an adaptable person. Andyour family also can get themselves involved in the new community. Last but not least, as youaccept the new values and life styles, you can learn something new besides your own culture.

Those who are against, however, argue that if the settlers accept new values and culture, they are considered to betray their own countries, so they no longer belong to their countries.Furthermore, new settlers are supposed to keep their own styles. For instance, their eatinghabits, religion believes, and so on. Last of all, it is a good way to preserve their tradition andculture, especially the ethnic, who are in minority of people.

Personally speaking, I tend to side with the former view. Though people should have theirunique styles, it is crucial to adjust to the new environment and community. An old sayingjust illustrates my point: When in Rome, do as the Roman.

  雅思大作文范文:跨國(guó)公司與經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化

It is becoming clear that the growing globalization, and along with it the expandingmultinational companies, is not likely to benefit all the people all the time. In theoryglobalization could be the answer to the world's seemingly intractable economic problems, butin practice it might backfire because its fragility has often been underestimated. While thisgame is now inevitable, some people are wondering if the economy of each country has to bedependent on the economy of all the rest countries in order to make everybody happy.

Multinational companies are big players in the game, reshaping world trade. The internationaleconomy that used to be is giving way to a new multinational economy as these companies playan increasingly decisive role in globalization changes. The dominance of leading corporations ishelping capitals and technologies flow, and goods and services move beyond borders in whatseems like a win-win situation. Free trade does pay off, spurring economic growth, creatingjobs, reducing labor costs, and lowering prices on many products, among other obviousbenefits, even though the practice is not without negative consequences. For example, toomuch outsourcing jobs overseas has been criticized in the United States because it presents anew threat, contributing to work insecurity and economic recession at home. However, insome labor-intensive countries, too much financial reliance on big foreign firms gives rise todoubts if it would not be an allusion to a new form of colonialism in the making.

The effects of globalization are manifold, affecting various aspects of people's lifestyles as wellas world economy, chiefly because of marketing strategies undertaken by different multinationalcompanies. Promotion of liberal trade activities is perhaps the greatest achievement ofglobalization, acting as a boon to world economy in which fruits of success can be shared byas many people as expected. From this viewpoint, globalization is a a positive development.Nevertheless, there are reasons that not everyone really thinks highly of the epidemicglobalization which is changing individuals' lifestyles in a manner too far too fast. In somedeveloping countries, there are worries among people that multinational companies and bigeconomies are controlling the way they live and the way they work. Currently in some developedcountries, due largely to negative effects of globalization there appears no end of bad newsinvariably related to unemployment troubles and financial disasters.

Regardless of its advantages and drawbacks, globalization is a fact of life and is here to stay likethe Internet and other inventions which further push international exchanges. It remains to beseen whether globalization engineered by multinational empires may just turn out to be thebest or the worst phenomenon that can happen to people around the world. While the gameis far from over, one thing is sure: happy or not, there is no turning back.

  雅思大作文范文:國(guó)際援助

With the process of economic globalization, many countries and regions have strengthenedcooperation and liaison in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade and finance. In order to dedicateto the mutual development, many developedcountries spare no effort to help the poor countries by means of technological, medical andfinancial aid, which, to my mind, is quite essential to the development of the world.

Firstly, aids from developed countries optimize people's living standard and eradicatepoverty in the poor countries. Due to the backwardness of science and technology, people insome undeveloped countries and regions such as Africa, Latin America and Asia suffer a greatdeal from poverty, hunger and the scarce of water. International aids from developedcountries have improved their living environment and helped them with the development ofagriculture, industry and economy.

Secondly, international aids give good medical care and help promote hygienic condition inthe poor countries. Malaria(虐疾), cholera(霍亂) and smallpox(天花)were once severe threats topeople's health. With the help of the World Health Organization and some developed countries, these diseases have been eliminated soon and the residents in the infected areas survived thesedeadly diseases, which would have devoured millions of lives without international aid.

Finally, aids to the undeveloped countries in turn benefit the donators. Due to thelimitation of natural and human resources, the production cost rises sharply in the developedcountries. With a view to reducing cost, many countries transferred their assembly lines andproduction bases to the developing countries, which not only solves the problem of low rate ofemployment in the developing countries but also make full use of the local resources.

Nevertheless, some countries are showing great concern about the mal-expense of their aidaroused by bureaucracy and corruption of some governments. Therefore, the governmentsshould take effective measures to utilize international aids reasonably and prevent abuse.Only with the help of international aids, can our world develop more quickly and prosperously.
