8月29日晚，南航一名空姐稱，在合肥飛往廣州的南航CZ3874航班遭到廣州市越秀區(qū)委方大國(guó)毆打和辱罵。有消息稱，方大國(guó)已于9月2日被停職檢查，接受組織進(jìn)一步處理。

A senior district official in China's southern metropolis of Guangzhou has been suspended from his post for allegedly beating an air attendant, sources said Monday.
本周一，有消息稱，廣州市一位區(qū)級(jí)干部因涉嫌毆打空姐一事已被停職。
這位官員為屢被提及的職務(wù)分別為越秀區(qū)委以及political commissar of the Yuexiu Armed Forces Department(越秀區(qū)武裝部政委)，被毆打的“空姐”可以用air attendant、air hostess以及stewardess來(lái)表示。飛機(jī)上的“空乘人員”多用flight attendants或cabin crew表示。雙方因?yàn)榉酱髧?guó)carry-on luggage(隨身行李)的放置而產(chǎn)生矛盾，進(jìn)而方大國(guó)一方have a brawl with the air attendant(與空姐發(fā)生了肢體沖突)。
To suspend someone from one’s post就是“停職”，多用被動(dòng)的形式表達(dá)“某人被停職”。另外，suspend也用于學(xué)校對(duì)學(xué)生的處分，表示“停學(xué)”，如：John was suspended for a year from school after cheating in final exam.(約翰因考試作弊而被停學(xué)一年。)

重慶市人民政府原副市長(zhǎng)、公安局原局長(zhǎng)王立軍涉嫌徇私枉法、叛逃、濫用職權(quán)、受賄犯罪一案，近日已由四川省成都市人民檢察院依法向成都市中級(jí)人民法院提起公訴。

Wang Lijun, Chongqing's former vice-mayor and police chief, has been charged with bending the law for selfish ends, defection, abuse of power and bribe-taking by the Chengdu City People's Procuratorate.
重慶市原副市長(zhǎng)、公安局原局長(zhǎng)王立軍涉嫌徇私枉法、叛逃、濫用職權(quán)、受賄犯罪一案，已由成都市人民檢察院提起公訴。
公訴的四項(xiàng)罪名分別為徇私枉法(bending the law for selfish ends)、叛逃(defection)、濫用職權(quán)(abuse of power/power abuse)，以及受賄(bribe-taking)。
檢察機(jī)關(guān)指出，王立軍在履行職務(wù)期間，without the approval of authorities (未經(jīng)批準(zhǔn))或forging approval documents(偽造批準(zhǔn)文件)，非法使用technical reconnaissance measures(技術(shù)偵察措施)。

香港特區(qū)居民近期發(fā)起的hunger strike(絕食)和class boycott(罷課)等活動(dòng)都呼吁withdrawal of MNE(取消德育及國(guó)民教育)。特區(qū)行政長(zhǎng)官表示，就是否scrap the subject(取消該課程)，there are still many possibilities to be discussed(仍有很大討論空間)。
