Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A job with more vacation time is better than a job with high salary but less vacation time.
The issue whether people should choose a job with a high salary or more vacation time is a topic that is often discussed and there are differing opinions about this issue. Some prefer to have a high salary, because they could buy some things that they like most, while others would choose a job with more vacation time for enjoying themselves. In my view, I prefer to have a job with more vacation time instead of a high salary for several reasons.
Admittedly, earning money is one of the aims of our work. No one could deny the fact that money could not only maintain our daily lives but also could help us to achieve some of our personal goals, such as buying a car, living in a big house or helping those who live in poverty or starvation. Making money will enable us to improve our living environment and quality, and therefore getting a job with a high salary, is significant to us.
However, others go into rapture at mere notion of getting money, however having a job with a high salary, is less useful than many people believe. People, who are addicted to a high income, have to spend more time working or staying in the office, and as a result, it is impossible for them to devote enough time and energy in communicating with family members. Moreover, it is difficult to develop and cultivate their children’s character and interpersonal skills and they may become more solitary and even suffer from certain emotional or psychological problems. Therefore, it is undesirable to hanker for a high salary instead of staying with family members.
Furthermore, the majority of people believe that having more vacation time will provide them additional opportunities to broaden their horizons, which may put them in a favorable position prove their situation. As we know, traveling can allow us to actually meet different cultures, which we could not get from textbooks or classrooms. As an architect, although he could learn about masterpieces from the internet and magazines, the feeling of touch of the actual buildings, such as the Sydney Opera house, is totally different， We could find abundant information about the plans, sections and elevations, but we could not recognize the size, the space or the material. Having vacation time and traveling could provide us with an opportunity to realize the dream and therefore almost all of us benefit from vacation time.
Therefore, I am firmly convinced that having a job with more vacation time, will bring about a profound impact on families, the person himself and even the society as whole.

Hence, in my eye, nothing can be replaced by the role our neighbors played for us.
First of all, a neighbor makes it possible for us to have someone talk with or company with. Nobody in the world seldom have low spirit. As we are human beings, we are always encountered with bad and unfortunate things which makes us feel extremely down. However, at this time, if we have someone to talk to, our stress or sadness will be relieved.For example, my grandmother lost her daughter two weeks age, and she felt extremely down. Everyday her tears shed from her face. Because I have to go to school and my parents have to work in a different city, which is pretty common in China. We don't have enough time to accompany my grandmother. She stayed alone at home. However, my neighbors came to my home time to time and comforted her by accompanying her,talking to her. Now, when I call her, she is much better and I can' t imagine how could she live without our neighbors.
Another important fact is that we be more social if we often talk with our neighbors. Everybody can not live without talking to others. With depending on our neighbors, it' s more likely for us to become more talktive which will be of great importance in our work. Also, there is no doubt that our kids will benefit a lot when we depend on our neighbors. It is university acknowleged that Kids are always been affected by what we said and what we did. If we always depend on our neighbors and have a really close relationship with our neighbors, our children may imitate from us and thus they will get along with their classmates at school well. On the contrary, if we do not have much contact with our neighbors and always solve our problems by ourselves, our kids may have no ideas of how to get along and keep a close relationship with other students.
Admittedly, with the development of internet,we can solve a lot of problems by Google which can save a lot of time. However, sometimes the problems can not be solved by the internet and it can only solved by our neighbors. There are some emergencies that we can not image. For instance, when we want to get some money which is in desperate need of, we can borrow from our neighbors and return to them a few days later.
In a nutshell, taking all these factors into account. I should reinforce my statement that I disagree with the point that Nowadays, neighbors depend on each other less than people in the past.
托福寫(xiě)作范文應(yīng)用方法解析
具體操作步驟如下：
第一步，將一篇優(yōu)秀的托福獨(dú)立習(xí)作翻譯成英文。優(yōu)秀習(xí)作的來(lái)源可是是OG給出的4、5分的范文，也可以是市面上各種輔導(dǎo)書(shū)所給出的參考范文，甚至可以是老托福TWE185題的李笑來(lái)范文。這里需要注意一個(gè)細(xì)節(jié)，我們所做出來(lái)的翻譯應(yīng)該和原文放在一個(gè)文檔以方便我們的后續(xù)檢查和比較。
第二步，打開(kāi)一個(gè)新的文檔，將翻譯好的漢語(yǔ)文本進(jìn)行復(fù)制粘貼。這里需要注意的是最好粘貼在非word文檔里。由于word具有自動(dòng)改正的功能，所以很多明顯的拼寫(xiě)語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤會(huì)自動(dòng)修正，而在真實(shí)的考場(chǎng)上，ETS給出的軟件完全不具備類(lèi)似的功能(這本來(lái)就是考試所要考查的內(nèi)容)，所以，對(duì)word依賴(lài)越大，考場(chǎng)之上，失誤的可能性就越大。
第三步，對(duì)照自己的漢語(yǔ)文本，將漢語(yǔ)翻譯成英語(yǔ)。
第四步，將自己的英語(yǔ)文本與原先的范文文本進(jìn)行對(duì)比，標(biāo)注出自己表達(dá)與范文表達(dá)不同的地方，并進(jìn)行修改批注。但是，進(jìn)行到這一步，大家千萬(wàn)不要以為萬(wàn)事大吉了，確切地說(shuō)這才是做好我們整個(gè)工作的準(zhǔn)備環(huán)節(jié)，真正關(guān)鍵的步驟是第五步。
第五步，也是整個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)中最重要的一步，就是要靜心地思考你的英文譯文同范文文本的差異，學(xué)習(xí)范文文本的起承轉(zhuǎn)合的技巧，學(xué)習(xí)范文文本長(zhǎng)句短句的錯(cuò)落交叉，學(xué)習(xí)范文文本的精確用詞--這些都是在你的文章有了思路和結(jié)構(gòu)之后阻礙你得高分的重要因素。
第六步，作為選擇步驟。如果前五步，特別是第五步你已經(jīng)做的無(wú)可挑剔，那么這一步可以選擇不做。但是如果你在前五步做完之后還有一些困惑，那么請(qǐng)一定要嚴(yán)格執(zhí)行第六步，即背下這篇范文。為什么不是直接背下范文呢?因?yàn)橹挥型ㄟ^(guò)這樣一步一步地翻譯，一點(diǎn)一點(diǎn)地對(duì)比，你才能知道并且是真正你自己的表達(dá)弱點(diǎn)在那里。這種做法看似麻煩，其實(shí)比直接背范文的有效性要高出很多。
語(yǔ)言使用(language use)是新托福寫(xiě)作中一項(xiàng)重要的評(píng)分維度。根據(jù)官方給出的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，考生應(yīng)該“能夠流暢地使用英語(yǔ)(consistent facility in the use of language)”，也就是要求考生能夠使用多種英文句型并且恰當(dāng)用詞(There should be a variety of sentence structure， and word choice should be appropriate)。然而，提高語(yǔ)言的難度極高，它既不想發(fā)展(development)那樣具有訓(xùn)練性，也不像結(jié)構(gòu)(organization)那樣具有模版性，如果方法不得當(dāng)，還很有可能“練而無(wú)果”。那么，什么方法能夠在短期內(nèi)有效地提高語(yǔ)言表達(dá)呢?很簡(jiǎn)單，演“譯”語(yǔ)言，以譯促寫(xiě)。
