  I. Recruitment

  Ex: How to ensure that the best candidate for a post is selected.

  How to organise an effective recruitment drive.

  ○1 Hiring a new employee is an investment. Getting a niche person for a niche role will add value to an organization. Organization can never be sure that they have selected the right person until he or she starts working, but an efficient recruitment and selection process can reduce the risk.

  ○2 Produce an accurate job description, a list of skills, experience, attitudes and so on.

  ○3 Choose the best recruitment method: internal recruitment, job advertisements, recruitment agencies and headhunting/executive search.

  ○4 A shortlist of candidates will then be draw up to be put through the company’s recruitment processes, usually interviews. This will produce the ideal candidate.

  ○5 Negotiate terms with this candidate. It should be both affordable for the company and attractive enough to get the ideal candidate.

  II. Motivation

  Ex: How to achieve and maintain high motivation among a workforce.

  The importance to a company of having well motivated staffs.

  ○1 Well motivated staffs can add value to the company. They are enthusiastic, creative and loyal. They increase the productivity and quality.

  ○2 Spiritual motivation.

  A. Give employees guidance when they are just recruited.

  B. Demonstrate a commitment to career development and promotion from within.

  C. Forster a sense of team spirit.

  D. Publicly recognize and congratulate employees for good work.

  ○3 Material motivation.

  A. Set incentive schemes: profit sharing, bonus scheme.

  B. Fringe benefits: company car, contribution to pension/health scheme, relation allowance.

  C. Establish the incentive-based compensation system.

  BEC考試口試中小演講語(yǔ)言技巧

  這部分考試中,考生個(gè)人須就某個(gè)話題獨(dú)立發(fā)表意見(jiàn),做一個(gè)一分鐘的小型演講。據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì),一個(gè) 人在正常語(yǔ)速下,一般一分鐘可以說(shuō)100-200個(gè)單詞3也就是說(shuō)一分鐘演講相當(dāng)于十個(gè)中等長(zhǎng)度的 句子。乍一看,講十個(gè)句子的難度并不大。關(guān)鍵在于要在一分鐘內(nèi)把問(wèn)題講清楚,既要做到言之有 物,又要注意條理清晰。

  —分鐘的演講雖然非常簡(jiǎn)短,但不能因此忽略了演講的邏輯結(jié)構(gòu)和完整性,這也是評(píng)分的一項(xiàng)重 要內(nèi)容。在這里,筆者建議考生使用模式組織演講。

  所謂“1-3-3-3-1”模式,是指在演講的開(kāi)頭使用一個(gè)總起句,結(jié)尾使用一個(gè)小結(jié)句,中間分三個(gè)分論 點(diǎn),每個(gè)分論點(diǎn)由三個(gè)句子組成的演講結(jié)構(gòu)。通過(guò)這種結(jié)構(gòu)組織起來(lái)的演講.思路清晰,結(jié)構(gòu)完整,比重均衡,重點(diǎn)突出,與商務(wù)環(huán)境下的簡(jiǎn)短陳述非常接近,可以給考官留下非常好的印象。由于總起句和小 結(jié)句的句式一般都大同小異,可以通過(guò)考前的準(zhǔn)備熟練掌握,因此,采取“1-3-3-3-1”結(jié)構(gòu)時(shí),考生只需對(duì) 中間的分論點(diǎn)部分有的放矢地進(jìn)行準(zhǔn)備,更易于從整體上宏觀把握演講的布局,不致頭重腳輕。

  在演講時(shí),最后的小結(jié)句可有可無(wú),考生可以借此控制發(fā)言時(shí)間,靈活掌握。如果準(zhǔn)備的分論點(diǎn)都講完了,主考官還未叫停,則說(shuō)明還沒(méi)有說(shuō)滿一分鐘,則可以加上小結(jié)句。如果在講小結(jié)句之前主考官已經(jīng)叫停,則說(shuō)明內(nèi)容已經(jīng)非常充實(shí),不必再添加小結(jié)句。

  1.內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介

  劍橋商務(wù)英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)考試(高級(jí))分三部分進(jìn)行:面試(Interview)、簡(jiǎn)短陳述(Mini-Presentation) 和討論(Collaborative Task and Discussion )。第一部分的面試

  (Interview)采取問(wèn)答的形式,即考官問(wèn),考生答。這一部分提問(wèn)內(nèi)容分兩類:一類問(wèn)題涉及考生的個(gè)人情況或工作情況,問(wèn)題不長(zhǎng),話題涵蓋的內(nèi)容單一;另一類問(wèn)題涉及與商務(wù)相關(guān)的不同話題,如職業(yè)發(fā)展趨勢(shì)、高科技對(duì)商業(yè)的影響等,考官所提的問(wèn)題較長(zhǎng)(15個(gè)詞左右),但考生只需要表明觀點(diǎn)并簡(jiǎn)單陳述理由即可。

  2.應(yīng)試技巧

  (1) 第一部分是整個(gè)口語(yǔ)考試的熱身練習(xí),主要是用來(lái)活躍氣氛,緩解考生的緊張情緒,同時(shí)考查考生能否就一般問(wèn)題進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)單陳述。所以考生只需作簡(jiǎn)單回答,適當(dāng)展開(kāi),一般兩三句話足夠。

  (2) 在聽(tīng)考官提問(wèn)時(shí)要細(xì)心,通??脊贂?huì)問(wèn)兩個(gè)考生不同的問(wèn)題。如果沒(méi)有聽(tīng)清楚考官提出的問(wèn)題,可用pardon或could you say it again等要求考官重復(fù)提問(wèn)。通常考 官會(huì)給考生兩次機(jī)會(huì)。如果還聽(tīng)不懂,考官會(huì)進(jìn)行下一個(gè)問(wèn)題。如果出現(xiàn)這種情 況,考生也不必氣餒,而應(yīng)集中精力搞好后面的兩部分口語(yǔ)考試。相對(duì)來(lái)說(shuō),第一 部分并不那么重要。

  (3) 考生要充滿自信,談話時(shí)注意自己的語(yǔ)音、語(yǔ)調(diào)、語(yǔ)速等,回答問(wèn)題時(shí)注意表達(dá)要清晰、簡(jiǎn)潔、明了,給考官一個(gè)良好的印象。

  (4) 考生應(yīng)利用這一熱身部分盡快熟悉并適應(yīng)考官和同伴的語(yǔ)音、語(yǔ)速等,為后面的考試做好充分的準(zhǔn)備。
