Well, I would like to start by saying that I am a goal-oriented person and I love to chase my targets and accomplish my goal. Here I would like to mention a time when not only I but my family also felt proud on me.
I was when I was in my 11th class and the school organized a farewell party for our seniors: the 12th grade students. I was given the responsibility of delivering a speech and my friend, who is a great orator, was assigned the duty of hosting the function. We started preparing for our presentation and before the event we were all good to go. However, a day before the event, my friend met with an accident and she broke her leg. This was a bolt from the blue for everyone and everybody thought that all the preparation would go in vain in the absence of the host. At eleventh hour, my teacher took a bold decision and he approached me with a firm trust that I could shoulder my friend’s responsibility. I became very nervous because I had never hosted any event before but I respected the faith of my teacher and with the help of my friend, I prepared myself a night before. Next day, I was feeling butterflies in my stomach when the event started but honestly speaking, the whole event went smooth when I stood on the podium. After the event, I took a sigh of relief and when my teachers and friends complimented me, I felt on top of the world. I received an award as well from the chief guest of the function. I, then, went back to hospital to meet my friend and I gave her the award which I think she truly deserved.
All in all, it was such a great experience of my life and it made me realise tht life is all about going boldly after your dreams without paying attention to naysayer. Thanks.

范文
I have worked as a volunteer for three years in Shaanxi History Museum and that is something I feel proud of. It all started when I was a sophomore, and one day our advisor told us that Shaanxi History Museum was in need of a large number of volunteers. She said if we were interested in antiques, it would be a great opportunity to learn. I was thrilled to hear about the news because Shaanxi History Museum is widely known for its treasures. Nothing would be more exciting than seeing these treasures in person. So I signed up.
The first thing I needed to do is to memorize the interpretation scripts. I had to be very familiar with the history and techniques of each antique. Thus I had spent a whole week studying it. Luckily I successfully passed the examination. Then I was trained for a month and gained a deeper understanding of each antique exhibited and prepared for all possible questions that visitors might pose. In the end, I became the very lucky few and stayed in the museum as a volunteer interpreter. Only one in ten appliers passed all the tests. The low passing rate shows the toughness of the whole training process. I’m glad I didn’t give it up no matter how much work I needed to prepare for becoming a volunteer. Now I can say it worth all the hard work.
Since then I have served more than a hundred visitors. I felt extremely proud when they listened wholeheartedly to my introduction. I was happy to think that I might have provoked their interest in history. My own life has also changed because of this experience. I am now fascinated by the profound history of antiques and I will continue to work hard in this field.

The success I think I am proud of is my outstanding performance in the board final exam that I attended many years back. I got the highest mark in our locality and because of that I got many congratulations and this success story was reported in the local newspaper.
It was the year 2008 when I passed my school final exam. I can't recall the exact month the result was published but that would be either January or February.
Since the success was a part of my academic study and exam and not related to any extracurricular activity, I would say it happened naturally and I had no involvement in choosing it. To say more specifically, if someone achieves some successes in photography or in art, s/he has some history how and why she came to photography or art, what was the motivation etc. but for me that success was an academic success and I did not have to choose anything. I needed to study attentively, though. I followed a rigid study routine for a couple of years and that helped me achieve this success. I would say that it was easy to achieve as I had a planned routine that I followed and I enjoyed reading my academic lessons. I have devoted a great deal of time reading academic books, reference books, different magazines related to subjects, took note, did group discussions and other activities and all those activities helped me to achieve this success.
This was an important success for me as it highly inspired me to do better in my further academic years. This success gave me the impression that if I can do better, my hard work would be rewarded accordingly and I would be in a better position in my future. Thus this success inspired me to achieve next success.
