imagine的用法1:imagine的基本含義是“想象”,即把五官感覺(jué)不到的東西在內(nèi)心加以描述。這些東西可能是實(shí)際上并不存在的,也可能是雖然存在但尚不了解的,這時(shí)譯為“猜想”“料想”。
imagine的用法2:imagine是及物動(dòng)詞,其主語(yǔ)一般是表示人的名詞或代詞。在表示“想象某人〔物〕〔事〕可能存在或發(fā)生”時(shí),可接sb/sth; 在表示“想象或認(rèn)為某人做某事”時(shí),可接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)名詞作賓語(yǔ); 在表示“把某人〔物〕〔事〕想象成…”時(shí),可接由名詞、代詞、形容詞、現(xiàn)在分詞、過(guò)去分詞作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ); 而在表示“想象…”或“假定…”時(shí)則可接that/what從句。
