　　people的基本意思是“人,人們”,是集體名詞,沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式,在句中作主語時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)。泛指“人們”時(shí)其前不加定冠詞the。

　　people與定冠詞the連用時(shí),其含義為“人民(群眾)”,指一個(gè)國家的或全世界的人民或者與統(tǒng)治階級(jí)相對(duì)的“人民”,沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式。
